Key fit and installation: It fits 1.25" to 3.875" wide rails (2x1, 2x4, 2x6). Stabilizer fasteners are included to stabilize the planter on the rail; for extra security, you can add tie downs, bungee cords, or screws (taking care when drilling into wooden rails).

Planting area and dimensions: The 24" length provides a larger planting bed than typical rail planters, supporting herbs, flowers, and compact vegetables. Inside, there are two rail recess options: a smaller recess (1.375" upper, 1.625" opening) and a larger recess (3.5" upper, 4" opening). The flat bottom width is 6".
